🍂 September 2026

Hi Subscriber First Name,

Happy Fall! Whether you're starting a new school year or welcoming the change of season, we hope it’s off to a strong start.

In this issue, we're sharing what you need to know about tomorrow’s big day of action, upcoming student opportunities, and recent student reporting.

📣 Join us at J-Day TOMORROW!

The big day is here! We’re headed to City Hall for our third annual day of action in support of student journalism. This year, we’re teaming up with City Council Education Committee Chair Eric Dinowitz and other city leaders for a major announcement about the progress of Journalism for All and how journalism aligns with changing graduation requirements.

You’re invited to help us make a powerful statement about the crucial role of student journalism in our schools.

  • 12-1 PM: Student-led press conference at City Hall

  • 1 PM: City Council education committee hearing on Portrait of a Graduate

It’s not too late to sign-up and receive final day-of logistics and our guide for submitting impactful hearing testimony.
