PBS Student Reporting Labs (SRL)": 2025-26 Opportunities

SRL is hosting several back-to-school events, pitch opportunities, application to join their Student Advisory Team, an opportunity to be a host or producer on their podcast, call for original songs for theme music, and more! The Back to School Kick-Off is Tuesday, August 26 at 7 pm ET. New York Jewish Week: Teen Journalism Fellowship
Application deadline: Wednesday, September 10
Open to 15 to 18 year olds in New York City who are interested in reporting community news through a Jewish teen lens. Fellows are expected to work independently and be on the hunt for the news in their communities and the world around them and to produce at least one piece. There is also an opportunity for teens outside of NYC. Youth Environmental Press Team

Youth Environmental Press Team supports middle and high school journalists writing about the climate crisis and other environmental issues. They offer paid opportunities to publish student reporting and currently have paid leadership roles open that involve writing, editing, outreach, fundraising, and social media. Financial Times: Student Advocate Program
Nomination deadline: Monday, October 13
The Financial Times is seeking Student Advocates to represent the views of students to the Financial Times so they can better understand student views, vision, and ambitions. 10th-12th graders are eligible, teachers must nominate students.
