Journalism for All

We’re bringing journalism education to every NYC public high school—
starting with 30 schools in 2025.

The Time is Now

Journalism for All is the Youth Journalism Coalition’s initiative to revitalize journalism education in New York City public schools. By increasing access to early, high-quality journalism experiences, Journalism for All will expand students’ career opportunities, grow their representation in newsrooms and media coverage, and strengthen our democracy.

With support from YJC partners and some of the brightest minds in media, the first cohort of 30 schools will play a foundational role in our mission. Together, we’ll be creating a sustainable, replicable model that will impact students across the city and, ultimately, the nation.
